Electronics and Communication

Vision

  1. Department development into a full-fledged centre of learning and research in various fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering keeping in view the latest developments.

Mission

To provide education for the students who are able to compete internationally on technical and professional grounds, able to generate creative solutions to the society’s needs, conscious to the universal moral values, adherent to the professional ethical code, and to produce and disseminate knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of electronics and communication engineering.

Program Outcomes (POs)

  1. Acquiring adequate knowledge on fundamentals of engineering sciences, applied mathematics and computational aspects and to apply the comprehension gained on laboratory experiments.
  2. Possessing good listening, reading, writing and spoken skills on technical English communications.
  3. Applying the communicative language skills and professional knowledge to gain job opportunities in leading organizations.
  4. Ability to design, construct and test application oriented circuits and systems related analog/digital/mixed signal based electronics, signal processing and telecommunication engineering.
  5. Ability to use computers for programming, simulation, documentation, calculation, slide presentation and other application based needs such as Photoshop, etc.
  6. Learning professional, managerial, ethical and environmental based principles to become excellent citizen of our nation.

Department of Electronics and Communication

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering intends to impart quality degree programs. These programs emphasize on fundamental principles to create technological excellence and exceptional ability in the students. Department has well equipped laboratories including hardware and software meeting the latest curriculum of RGPV, Bhopal. The department has its own innovations and quality procedures such as:

  1. Regular updating of laboratory experiments
  2. Improvement in teaching methodology using various aids including LCD Multimedia display, Software tools, Online video etc.
  3. Learning material development including laboratory manuals, lecture notes, online certification courses like NPTEL.
  4. Faculty and staff training by internal/ external FDPs, workshops etc.
  5. Professional society’s activities including IEEE, ISTE membership.

Quality Policy

Department induces effective teaching-learning strategies by continuously assessing the latest current teaching methods and introducing pioneering ideas to reach the goal. Department is emphasizing conventional informative approach with experiments that empower the influential learning process. Some of the important teaching techniques are:

  1. Lectures, case-discussions, lab sessions, experiential class activities, seminars, expert lectures, project works, structured and unstructured group works, simulation, field teaching/industrial visits etc. All the above mentioned strategies are followed with the help of pre planned academic calendar.
  2. Students are formally assessed through diverse assessment strategies to ensure whether they have really attained the outcome based education goals. Department follow a system of continuous evaluation through regularity of students, examinations, portfolio and performance assessment, paper presentations, quizzes, etc.
  3. Based on the evaluation of student’s performance, department also follow periodic counseling programs and suggest remedial classes for their improvement.
  4. Faculty and staff training by internal/ external FDPs, workshops etc.
  5. Department identify the importance of families in supporting the overall development of the students. Our parent teacher interactive sessions opens gateway for the betterment of students and institution.

  2. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Acropolis Technical Campus organized One day Competition on “Circuit designing using simulation” on 26 Apr 2016.
  3. One day JACK KILBY CIRCUIT DESIGNING COMPETITION was organized for students of Electronics and Communication Engineering on April 26,2016.
  4. A workshop on "Application of Internet of Things for remote temperature monitoring" organised by Revotron Tech.

  1. Workshop on Advanced Embedded System was organized from 01st May 2017 to 04th May 2017 for the students of IV Semester. Mr. Mahendra Gupta from Technido Pvt. Ltd
  2. Workshop on Advanced Embedded System was organized by the department from 24th April 2017 to 28th April 2017 for the students of VI Semester. Mr. Mahendra Gupta from Technido Pvt. Ltd. Indore conducted the workshop
  3. he Electronics club core members have organized Line follower Robot designing workshop on 22 September as a part of a preparatory workshop for the George Devol Robotics Competition to be organized on 27th September, 2016.

  3. A Debate Competition conducted by Anagha C. and Sneha Nagar on 12 march 2019 at ECE Dept., ATC.
  4. Prof Kavita Thakur conducted a visit for 2nd and 3rd year students in Adavance Communication Labs of MCTE, Mhow on 04/04/2019.

Two days Technical fest Robospark 2K16 organized in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Acropolis Technical Campus, Indore under the aegis of ISTE and Electronics Club various parallel events like Robo-Race, Robo-Soccer, Robo-Chase, Aqua-Robo, Line-Follower and Project Exhibition were held and coordinated by Prof. Nilesh Dubey and Prof. Priya Geete.

  1. Ajay Yadav and Keshin Rajput from EC 3rd Yr. under the Guidance of Prof. Hemant Marmat And Imran Khan have developed a social security system and presented their system in front of Indore DIG Mr Harinarayanchari Mishra at SP Office.
  2. Keshin Rajput and Ajay Yadav the students of EC 3rd Yr. have worked in acroracerz team. They went to Kolhapur Event and won many prizes of cost 55,000 Rs.
  3. Abhishek Dixit, Tushar Yadav, Farzan Khan, Disha Kusmakar, Nitisha Sen, Gazal Shrvastava, Kuljeet Saluja, Mala Ahuj, Mayuri Panat have participated in one week workshop on "Advance Antenna , Frequency Selective Surface & Metamaterials (AAFM-2017)" organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Govt. Women Engineering College, Ajmer under TEQIP-II March 22-26, 2017.
  4. Abhishek Dixit, Jasvinder Saluja and Arva Lokhandwala of EC 4th Year and Keshin Rajput and AJay Yadav of EC III year have attended SmartCon in Jabalpur, 27th March, 2017. Keshin and Ajay have got consolation prizes.

  2. Shreya satle and Kriti jain from EC 2rd Yr secured IIIrd position in electrade competition organized by ECell (department of EC) at ATC,indore on 12th feb 2018.
  3. Shreya satle from EC 2rd Yr successfully completed IOT internship from 15th jan 2018 to 1st feb 2018 at REOFT technologies, Indore.
